Very cold today and tomorrow,the perfect piece for this weather....a warm and cozy chunky knit scarf or sweater,but for me I prefer the knit dress.I haven't worn my knitted dress yet, maybe this weekend. 

 

RUSSIAN SPY..shop update

Hi blog readers, another Mia on blogger for me.I finally made it back,so busy with working ,preparing for shop Vintage Arm Candy to open and the holidays.....whew!! The holidays are always very hectic for me. I try my best to update shop My Favorite Pieces every now and then.Tonight I will add this mod spy trench coat,made in Russia.

Blazers,Blazers,Blazers.... love them,love to collect,love to wear. My collection of  trendy blazer buys.The grey Gap blazer will be in the shop again this fall/winter.On the lookout for more blazers this year.I tend to look for unique patterns,textures,and printed styles.

Mad for Plaid

Sorry readers, I've been MIA lately, busy celebrating my b-day.Tonight I thought I'd share one of my fave fall/winter trends. Shop your closet for anything plaid....dig deep, I know you have something plaid in there.I shopped my closet,with the luck of finding a few pieces. I'm sure I'll spot other unique plaid pieces on my thrifting outing this weekend. I found these lovely vintage goodies above, a couple of years ago. The wool cape coat was spotted at a thrift shop and the wool military blazer from my mom's closet.Although these lovely vintage pieces are no longer with me,I will always cherish their beauty.

The little red coat

New to the shop, toddler girls Rothschild red swing military pea coat...oh so cute.I spotted this coat a couple of  years ago on an antique hunt,not expecting to purchase kids apparel,because I have no kids. I guess I fell in love with this coat due to price and cuteness.I have no nieces and my nephews couldn't use it,so why not add it to the shop.I had it for sale last Christmas,but added it to the shop a little too late,Christmas was almost here. I think shoppers got an early start that year,so this year I'm putting it in the shop early...September.

I love this Rothschild coat ,it's one of  Rothschilds signature styles...velvet collar,princess cut and wool. The Rothschilds brand is the most sought out brand for kids coats and outerwear in the United States. If the little red coat sales,it's great to know that a fashionable little tot will be wearing this on Christmas day.

The Bob

The bob cut, very classic timeless style, perfect for this fall. Recently I cut my hair in a little bob, I haven't had my hair cut this way sense the 80's. My 80's style had bangs, didn't cut them this time, so maybe I'll add a bang clip extension instead. I hope I can maintain this style, due to the fact that my hair isn't naturally straight...requiring blow drying and a flat iron.If you have long hair, but not ready for the big chop,opt for a wig instead.I saw a really cute bob wig at annabelleswigs.co.uk....take a peek. I think I'll maintain this style for fall and grow it back out next year.

 The one thing I like about the color camel is it's versatility, it works well with anything. I love wearing my camel coat accessorized with reds and leopard prints.I pulled together the red and camel combo above,classic with a touch of vintage.The cat glasses and bracelet are both vintage pieces.I really love the red Mulberry handbag, which would be a splurge for me. I'm sure I'll find a similar steal on my thrifty shopping spree instead.
