my home is my castle

This weekend I spent time house hunting, not for myself, but for someone else. This little trip around metro Atlanta was quite interesting. I saw a cute little castle home. Who would build a home like this? It's real , check out the  private residency sign. Most little girls dream of being a fairytale princess like Cinderella, living in a castle, maybe this was their childhood dream.

I have always wanted a horse as a child. I grew up dreaming of owning one of my own. The closest thing I've had to owning one, would be my horse figures. These precious pieces are packed away, collecting dust,  thought about selling them, but I'll keep them as reminders of my childhood dreams.

friends to the end

Sight to see, two large wild turkeys, walking in the distance. This place was full of gorgeous homes surrounded by beautiful lush landscapes.

Pop music Icons in Black and White

Photobucket

icon in the making
Lady GaGa

An Icon is somebody widely admired, somebody symbolizing a movement.
Madonna and Janet were the biggest icons of the early 80's, but their career in pop music didn't stop there. They both had successful careers into the 90's and beyond. These pop icons not only influenced music, but also fashion, by creating their own unique personal style. Madonna's iconic 80's style was wearing lingerie as outerwear, leggings under short skirts, and soft curl highlighted hair. Janet known for her dance moves, killer abs and ever changing looks, from tomboy to sexy siren.

In the late 90's a new younger pop princess emerged, name Britney Spears. She was America's first teen pop music icon in the 90's. She made pigtails and school girl uniforms the fashion craze of the 90's.

The newest pop icon in the making to me, would be Lady Gaga. She reminds me of a young Madonna. I think a lot of her inspiration comes from Madonna. I see a lot of it through her music, fashion style, and videos. Although she's inspired by her, she adds a little touch of her own personal style to the mix.
.

Who do you think have the most influential personal style?

THE KELLY HANDBAG

The Kelly style handbag was named after American actress Grace Kelly. When Kelly was pregnant, she used a large Hermes bag to cover her belly, from photographers, the camera captured a shot. Kelly was pictured all over the world with the Hermes bag, they decided to name their bag after Kelly. The Hermes Kelly bag is still very popular today,by most celebrities and those who can afford this pricey bag.If the Hermes price isn't in your budget, there are other vintage Kelly style bags available today.

Model Twiggy 60's/70's biggest fashion icon

I love the fashions from the 60's and the 70's. These are two of my favorite eras, but the 20's era is still number one. I love the 60's/70's because of the diverse trends, from mini skirts, bold prints, hippie style, skinny jeans and asymmetrical hairstyles. The bob hairstyle I just love, wore that style in the 80's,maybe I'll try it again this year.

My Fav photo of model Linda Evangelista

I love this image, very mod,the look of the 60's style.Love the style of pairing a micro mini with white go go boots. Her hair cut has that 60's flair with a modern touch. You can create fashions from the past with the right styling and makeup in any photo. Vintage stores and thift stores are the best places for fashion stylist, to find pieces for old vintage photo shoots.
